Washing Instructions by Clever Wash in Athens
Many of us find the process of doing laundry incredibly difficult and complicated.
In reality, by following the instructions below, you’ll see how simple it really is.
Just pay attention to a few small details we outline here, and you’ll achieve excellent results every time.
Washing Instructions

Step 1: Sorting Your Laundry
Start by sorting your clothes into separate piles:
whites, light colors, and darks.
Never mix whites with colored garments — it may ruin your white clothes.
Also, make sure to
zip up zippers and
empty all pockets.

Step 2: Loading the Washer
Unfold all clothing and place them loosely in the drum.
Do not overload the machine — always leave space, as recommended by the washer’s instructions, so your laundry can move and wash properly.

Step 3: Pre-Treating Stains
For stubborn stains,
apply liquid detergent or stain remover directly to the affected area before washing.
Always follow the directions on the product label.

Step 4: Adding Detergent & Bleach
You may use
our detergent or bring your own (liquid or powder).
Use the correct
dosage as per the packaging.
Place
bleach
only in the designated bleach compartment (usually together with detergent, unless otherwise indicated).
Use
only liquid bleach in the special bleach compartment.

Step 5: Top-Loading Machines
For top-loading machines, pour the detergent directly into the drum.
If using fabric softener, add it according to the product instructions.

Step 6: Washing Duvets & Blankets
For items like
blankets and duvets, we recommend using
liquid detergent, as
powder detergent may leave residues.

Step 7: Choosing the Wash Cycle
Select the appropriate washing cycle.
Always
consult the care labels on your clothes and the washer’s instructions for the correct temperature and program.

Step 8: Washing Time
A typical washing cycle lasts
25–35 minutes, depending on the machine and selected program.

Step 9: Moving to the Dryer
Once the wash is complete,
transfer the clothes to the dryer.
Check the
care labels to select the correct drying cycle.

Step 10: Clean the Lint Filter
Always clean the lint filter before starting a drying cycle.

Step 11: Select Drying Temperature
Choose the appropriate drying temperature for your garments, based on the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 12: Start the Dryer
Close the door and start the dryer.
The drying cycle typically lasts
20–50 minutes, depending on the load size and fabric type.

Step 13: Rotate Bulky Items
For large items like blankets or duvets, it’s best to pause halfway, remove and reposition them, then resume drying.

Step 14: Folding the Laundry
Once your clothes are dry,
remove them immediately and
fold them neatly to avoid wrinkles.
